The Job

It’s relatively early days for our CRM journey, but that’s changing, and it’s a hugely exciting time to join our Growth Marketing team in shaping our vision for the future.

As a business, we are in relatively early stages of our CRM journey but have big plans for growth.  This is an opportunity to join us to improve our existing ways of working, but with an eye on the future as we are growing at a fast pace.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in CRM Ops / Marketing Ops to support the day to day Campaign Implementation and Delivery.  As well as this, you will be instrumental in helping to define ways of working and champion CRM best practice as we grow and establish the function.  Ideally you will be equally at home shaping strategy as getting involved in the day to day.  

As Marketing Operations Manager your role will report into the Senior Growth Marketing Manager within the Growth Marketing Team.

Your Experience

Must have:

  • Strong experience in CRM Data Ops / Marketing Ops - An understanding of what ‘great’ looks like and the steps involved in getting there, especially from a technology and tooling standpoint
  • Experience of working in a tech / product organisation 
  • Knowledge of how to build comprehensive, dynamic, personalised campaigns and journeys, enabling automation where relevant
  • Experience of managing the broadcast of high volume campaigns across multiple channels and markets
  • An understanding of basic HTML
  • Proven experience of a data driven and analytical approach to CRM
  • Background setting up data structure within a Customer Engagement Platform

Nice to have:

  • Experience of coding campaigns 
  • Experience of working in a product first organisation

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for:

Campaign Setup and Deployment 

  • Working with key stakeholders such as CRM peers, Analysts, Designers, Engineers to execute and deliver campaigns.
  • Being close to the data, analyzing audience opportunities and translating them into audiences within the CRM tooling. 
  • Working closely with Engineers to build audiences in the Customer Engagement Platform, ensuring marketing permissions, contact strategy and prioritization rules are adhered to.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance (QA) of our campaign set up and data selection, minimizing the margins for error.  

Marketing Operational Excellence

  • Be the CRM subject matter expert, who champions the opportunities a CRM platform can provide - make sure we’re using it to the fullest, and taking advantage of all its features. 
  • Be analytical - monitor and troubleshoot manual and automated campaigns in case of poor performance, errors or failures, and escalate any concerns and issues accordingly.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand and adhere to CAN-SPAM/GDPR requirements and inbox deliverability standards.
  • Systematically document processes and campaign details as required.

CRM Projects Support 

  • Support Senior Growth Marketing Manager on new and exciting CRM initiatives to improve how we engage with our customers. . 

Campaign Development:

  • Overseeing the day to day production of the Campaign development process which involves scoping the campaign through to broadcast
  • Implement complex, dynamic, personalised campaigns and journeys, using automation where relevant
  • Working with designers and copywriters to develop engaging communications across channels to deliver against business OKRs
  • Working with Analysts and Marketing Ops to identify target audiences for our communications ensuring relevance 
  • Working with Engineers to oversee the final set up and broadcast of campaigns ensuring high quality delivery
  • Creating meaningful tests to understand how we can drive best levels of engagement

Customer campaign excellence:

  • Champion the customer and ensure that all planned campaign activity keeps the customer at the forefront.  Be prepared to challenge. 
  • Know what works and doesn’t work by keeping abreast of Insights and Reporting
  • Use attention to detail to QA the campaign and minimise margin for error.  
  • Support Senior Growth Marketing Manager to establish good ways of working / processes for the Growth Marketing team

CRM Projects support:

  • Support Senior Growth Marketing Manager on new and exciting CRM initiatives to improve how we engage with our customers

Your targets will be:

  • Driving Customer Engagement through improvement in OR% and CTR%
  • Driving Revenue by 5%
  • Reducing subscriber churn by 2.5% 
  • Increase no. of winbacks by 6%
