The opportunity:
We are looking for a highly adaptable, hands-on, and entrepreneurial individual to join our Singapore-based team. As part of the Account Management team, your mission will be to proactively strengthen our client relationships by developing and implementing solutions for their critical supply chain challenges. This is a unique opportunity to help expand our business in Asia. You will support the growth of our market share with existing clients and help identify new targets in the Asia Pacific region.
You will:
- Develop and launch innovative solutions tailored to the needs of our largest and most complex global freight forwarding clients.
- Accelerate the growth of all services within the Flexport portfolio, including Air, Ocean, Trade Advisory, Customs, and Fulfillment.
- Collaborate with destination teams in the US and Europe to identify expansion opportunities with existing accounts, increasing Flexport’s market share.
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Account Solutions, Implementation, Legal, Industry SMEs, and Trade and Financial Services teams to develop and execute client strategies that maximize outcomes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with executive-level customer contacts and key stakeholders at some of the world’s largest brands.
- Stay informed about the latest industry and supply chain developments to proactively educate and support your clients through change.
You should have:
- 5+ years client facing experience with a background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain strongly preferred.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a proven history of delivering innovation and driving results.
- Skilled in navigating complex global team structures to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Experienced in building and leveraging global client relationships to expand business partnerships.
- Passionate about team success, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Adopts a hands-on, results-oriented approach, and is both accessible and approachable.
- A strategic thinker and disciplined planner, capable of operationalizing strategic plans and maintaining organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across all channels.
- Exceptional at negotiation and problem-solving.
- Aware of global business cultural differences, adapting style and approach accordingly.
- Highly collaborative, with a history of building strong internal and external relationships.
- Upholds high integrity and ethics, aligning with Flexport’s values.
