The Opportunity:
Operating at the intersection of logistics and tech has allowed Flexport to develop a unique value proposition that customers all over the globe love, resulting in exponential growth over the last 10 years. As part of our mission to make global trade easy for everyone, we are expanding and growing our sales organization in Asia.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to build and scale our business in the air freight sector, identify high-potential clients, and close deals. You'll be part of a high-performing team and in the driver's seat to establish our presence in the region, while providing tech-enabled freight solutions that address customer needs.
You Will Be:
- Building and growing Flexport's air freight business in Asia by closing net-new business in collaboration with your airfreight team colleague.
- Uncovering and connecting with ideal air freight clients through a combination of self-prospecting and collaboration with our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team.
- Consulting with new clients to comprehensively understand their air cargo logistics needs.
- Creating value-added solutions and demonstrating our capabilities through remote and in-person meetings.
- Leading the customer onboarding process by effectively leveraging internal resources and teams to ensure a smooth transition.
You Should Have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a full-cycle (prospecting to closing), quota-carrying sales role within the air freight or logistics industry, specifically in the Asian market.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in relevant local languages is a plus.
- Strong enthusiasm for cold-calling prospects, leading discovery calls to uncover their needs, and managing accounts to foster an outstanding experience for clients.
- A fast learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a demonstrated desire to grow into a top 5% sales executive in the region.
- Deep connections with air freight clients and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape in Asia.
