Senior Accounting Manager

You Will

  • Oversee and manage the accounting operations for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region within the freight forwarding company.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, and intercompany transactions, in compliance with regional accounting standards.
  • Supervise local accounting teams and coordinate financial reporting activities across APAC offices.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis for senior management, providing insights into regional performance.
  • Manage the APAC budgeting and forecasting processes, offering strategic financial guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors during audits across APAC offices.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Liaise with regional financial institutions and manage banking relationships.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of accounting standards across the APAC region to ensure uniformity in financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with local partners to facilitate the issuance of local tax invoices, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations.
  • Utilize balanced sheet management techniques to optimize the company financial position and resources.
  • Apply knowledge of foreign currency regulations in the APAC region to manage currency risks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager in a multinational freight forwarding or logistics company.
  •  In-depth knowledge of APAC accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor diverse accounting teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience in financial consolidation and reporting for a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions and complexities within the logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Thorough understanding of regional tax laws and compliance obligations.
  • Treasury knowledge to effectively manage cash flow and support liquidity requirements.
  • Knowledge of balanced sheet management techniques.
  • Understanding of foreign currency regulations in the APAC region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or relevant certifications preferred
