The opportunity: 

The Claims Associate will be responsible for assisting the claims department with the investigation, assessment, and resolution of cargo insurance claims using the latest technology and digital tools. This individual will work closely with the claims team to ensure that all claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner, and that clients receive the best possible service.

You will:

  • Assist with the investigation and assessment of cargo insurance claims using digital tools and technology
  • Communicate with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders through digital channels, such as email and chat, to gather information and provide updates
  • Review and process claim documentation, including bills, invoices, and other supporting materials, using digital platforms
  • Ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and risk management, to ensure consistency and alignment across the company
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all claims and their status using digital systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness using technology
  • Provide support to the senior claims manager and the claims team as needed

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cargo insurance claims or related field
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of cargo insurance policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with cargo insurance technology and digital tools
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
