What will you do?

  • Lead the local People Operations team to complete regular tasks which including but not limit to:
    • On-boarding
      • Employment offer/contract preparation
      • Support the organization Flexport Academy
      • Collaborate with Recruitment, IT and Workplace teams for new employee’s on-boarding
      • Organize and provide an info-section to new employees regarding on benefit introduction, MPF enrolment, and Workday training
      • Manage background check process
    • Off-boarding
      • Support employees to complete check-out process smoothly
      • Collaborate with People Business Partner, IT and Workplace teams to complete employee’s check-out process on time
      • Provide necessary support to the calculation of final payment
    • Employee Mobility
      • Collaborate with external vendors for employee’s visa application, extension and cancellation
      • Maintain a visa data record to track employee’s visa status
      • Manage and administer mobility in relation to employee relocation and overseas work assignment
    • Employee Data & File Maintenance
      • Ensure the data accuracy in Workday  
      • Working with US HRIS team for necessary configurations update, changes, trouble-shooting as well as optimising the system for creating dashboard, reports and process enhancement
      • Set up and maintain employee’s file – both soft copy and hard copy
    • Payroll and benefit administration
  • Provide efficient support/advice to internal clients
    • Handle and response escalated  JIRA tickets within the requested time frame.
    • Provide solutions and advices to managers and employee in relation to company policies, benefit, employee income tax, employment compliance matters, visa, etc.
    • Maintain office library – book ordering, book list update, etc.
  • Managerial duties
    • Provide guidance to the local People Operations team
    • Develop the local people operation team by enhancing their job knowledge and skills
    • Support Asia People Ops Manager to review and enhance operation processes and control procedures so as to ensure efficient operations and alignment with the global and regional practice while compliant with local regulations
    • Participating in salary and benefit market benchmarking exercise

What do you need? 

  • Bachelor degree in HR Management, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of HR operational experience with minimum 3 years on C&B function
  • Experience of leading a small team will be an asset
  • Good understanding of China labour law and IIT regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to details
  • Good team player
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience of Workday will be an asset
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and handle multi tasks
