The Engineering department is offering SkillBridge opportunities in the following areas: Web Scraping, Quality Assurance, Front End Development, VM Management and Cloud Networking, and more.

Under the SkillBridge Program, Flashpoint hosts active-duty U.S. military members for skilled employment training for up to the final six months of active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program/Role with Flashpoint will run 90 - 180 days. DoD SkillBridge offerings can be based on any open role within the company, given appropriate experience, interest, availability, and capacity to train. Quality Assurance - Backend SET Intern

What you will get to do on our team

  • Perform exploratory testing and assist in the identification and design of test automation.
  • Develop test strategies and implement test best practices across the entire technology stack, and to improve efficiency in manual testing.
  • Improve our existing test automation frameworks and infrastructure and support engineers in writing automated tests.
  • Develop test plans by collaborating with cross-functional teams and identify tests for automation, or to automate them
  • Build and maintain systems to monitor test stability, report stability issues back to engineers, and create and maintain API and UI tests.

To be successful, you will need

  • Experience conducting exploratory and manual testing, especially with UI and REST API (pytest)
  • Proficiency with Python or Javascript
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress and Postman

 

Managed Attribution - Front End or Full Stack Engineering Intern

What you will get to do on our team

  • Improve and add functionality with our UI and backend services.
  • Improve and assist in our cloud networking infrastructure.
  • Improve and add functionality to our VM images.
  • Assist all stakeholders with troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.

To be successful, you will need

  • Experience with Javascript, and knowledge of common web/programming concepts and terminology such as protocols, hosts, proxies, authentication
  • Familiar with linux / windows operating systems
  • Experience with version controls systems such as git, writing tests (unit, integration, e2e), and Javascript frameworks (NodeJS, React, Angular, etc)
  • Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MariaDB, etc)., and a basic understanding of cloud/networking infrastructure.

 

Collections - Backend Python Engineering Intern

What you will get to do on our team

  • Contribute to Flashpoint’s intelligence efforts by scraping data from Deep and Dark web communities
  • Write custom code to address common scraping and parsing challenges
  • Work in a team-first environment, being open to constructive feedback and contributing to team goals and projects

To be successful, you will need

  • Demonstrated ability in Python, especially related to web scraping and parsing (requests, beautifulsoup4, selenium, or playwright).
  • Knowledge of common web concepts and terminology such as protocols, hosts, proxies, authentication
  • Experience and understanding of CI/CD development methodology, version controls systems such as git or mercurial, writing unit tests, and Django.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Active Duty Service Member
  • Meets DoD SkillBridge Qualifications
  • Available to participate 90-180 days
  • Work remotely in the continental US

Additional Information

SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Flashpoint, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. Your unit Commander must authorize participation in Flashpoint's SkillBridge Program prior to the start of the internship.
