Flagship Labs 97 Inc. (FL97) is a privately held, early-stage company pioneering the application of artificial intelligence to transform all science. Our Physical Sciences effort is developing a novel AI and data-driven approach to materials discovery and development to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy.

Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with lab automation engineers to co-design and implement customized automation workcells, ensuring seamless integration with existing lab setups.
- Utilize Python to engineer and optimize drivers and software, enhancing the functionality and interoperability of lab automation equipment.
- Work closely with software developers, engineers, and bench scientists to align automation solutions with scientific goals and laboratory infrastructure.
- Employ innovative engineering solutions to improve system performance and adaptability, staying current with technological advancements to continually enhance automation design.
- Oversee testing and validation of new automation systems and drivers, ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and laboratory safety regulations, and maintain thorough documentation of development and implementation processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and scripting languages like JavaScript.
- Experience with liquid handlers, third party devices, scheduling software, LIMS.
- Experience with simulation software like MATLAB, Simulink, or AnyLogic, and 3D modeling and graphics tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Blender.
- Specific domain knowledge of biotech lab processes, biological systems, and regulatory standards.
Working at FL97, you would have access to advanced technology in the areas of:
