Position Summary:
The Scientist will lead our efforts to optimize novel gene writing technologies to support the downstream development of innovative therapeutics. This is a highly visible role that is cross-functional to bridge basic biological research and translational applications of Gene Writing. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and validate non-viral gene delivery of novel gene writing tools to modify human T cells
- Contribute to all different stages of the program from inception, in vitro optimization, leading the identification of next generation RNA writer, and its characterization
- Manage and train junior research associates
- Collaborate with internal and external research teams to advance our leading candidates of Gene writing technologies
Basic Qualifications:
- MS with 6+ in an academic or industry setting or Ph.D. in biological sciences
- Hands-on experience in assays that are crucial for characterization of T cell biology and function
- Proficiency with multi-color flow cytometry
- Proficiency in non-viral or viral gene delivery into T cells
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively work as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the research of immunology
- Experience of current gene editing technologies, preferred but not limited to CRISPR and AAV
- Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior reports
- High throughput screening
