You’re the kind of molecular biologist who is driven to pioneer, who enjoys systematizing protocols at scale, and who understands that “better is the enemy of good” when developing a new platform. Your battle tested bag of tricks is constantly being replenished in a fast-moving field, and your responsibility will be to push the performance envelope with computational and laboratory collaborations.
Because we’re developing a new therapeutic platform and with a fast-to-clinic strategy, we need someone who has demonstrated high-quality judgement and clarity of thinking under pressure. Your judgement will be vital in ensuring that we are able to address multiple therapeutic targets in parallel, and that we’re positioned to iterate rapidly.
Our ideal candidate has significant experience in developing phage display-like techniques, the production of proteins for therapeutics at scale, such as for biologics or recombinant vaccines, and finds a way to systematize their hard-won instincts with their colleagues. We welcome those with an unusual background or unconventional career path who have shown consistently good judgement and alacrity in solving molecular biology challenges.
A proven expert and likely has substantial postgraduate scientific training in molecular, cell, or protein biology
Understanding of working in both bacterial and eukaryotic expression systems, and ideally with experience at high throughput and systematic design
A humble learner and an aggressive do-er
Someone that values true data driven decision making, and understands how to speculate around uncertainty
