From our founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, your data just arrives in your warehouse, canonical and ready to query, no engineering or maintenance required. As we watch more and more companies leverage our technology to become truly data-driven, we’re proud not only of our growth but also of the fact that we’ve grown without compromising our core value of being a default, easy-to-use solution.

The Role:

We are looking for our first designer for our Fivetran Design System team. You will help shape the future front-end experience of the Fivetran data pipeline platform for businesses large and small. Our ideal candidate has a balance of detail-oriented design skills, customer focus, and strong ability to collaborate. We value those that hit the ground running, leading by example on projects and working well cross-functionally. You will be diving deep into our customer-facing experiences and applying your understanding of best practices to everyday product design decisions.

As you talk with our team, your portfolio should contain case studies that demonstrate strong storytelling skills, use of effective design methodologies, and clear results of your previous work.

Fivetran has a positive, diverse, and supportive culture. We appreciate Designers who are curious, humble, think deeply, speak clearly, and thrive on collaboration and feedback. If this sounds like a good fit for you, send us a hello with links to your work and experience. On day one, this role will report to the Director of Design Operations.

  • A strong portfolio featuring examples of your work, your design process, and the results.
  • Heavy focus on details with an eye for pixel perfection.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a bias toward action – there’s tons of greenfield opportunity here, and you’ll need to lean into the ambiguity and lead projects to completion.
  • Ability to craft engaging presentations with engrossing stories that influence your peer stakeholders.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
