Fivetran is looking for a driven and proactive HR Manager to join the People Operations team at our Sydney office. The HR Manager will be a thought partner on all things people and culture and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of HR administration in Sydney. In addition, the HR Manager will promote a positive work environment through administrative support to the Sydney office: you’ll have the opportunity to support the growing APAC team in a fast-paced and constantly-changing environment. Reporting to the global Director of HR, you will execute global policies and promote best practices, and your daily tasks will be driven by the needs of the APAC team in Australia and Singapore. As an HR Manager at Fivetran you will:
- Be a champion of Fivetran’s values, and partner with the People Operations global team to streamline and promote Fivetran’s culture across the APAC team
- Oversee sourcing/recruiting, screening, new hire orientation and onboarding including scheduling training sessions, preparing new hire packets, administering background checks, etc
- Manage HR operations-related processes including benefits, administration/compliance, and occasional audits
- Serve as the de facto Office Manager, assisting with facilities management, events planning, procurement, and communications
- Manage the process, data collection and updates for Namely, our HRIS system we use to capture employee data, while ensuring a high degree of accuracy
- Partner with People Operations to be the local advisor to employees on People questions, such as employee data, compensation and benefits issues
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to ensure People business metrics are quantified and outcome-driven
- Participate in development and execution of People & Culture initiatives and programs such as compensation planning, benefits and perks, recognition programs, L&D initiatives, etc
- Partner with Director of People & Culture and outside counsel to manage immigration matters
- Drive efficiency by selecting and implementing HR technology tools that help us automate operational tasks
- Administer employee off-boarding process including Namely workflow, communication with employee, exit-survey/exit interviews and separation agreements
- Handle HR and compliance-related employee issues and ensure controls are in place and procedures are followed for periodic review of compliance with all applicable laws.
Your Superpowers:
- 5+ years of relevant career experience, with direct HR and recruiting experience in Australia required for this role.
- Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines including employee relations, talent development, compensation, and employee engagement
- Full scale experience as a recruiter
- Experience with the application of HR policies and laws in Australia
- Experience with a wide-variety of systems and tools (Namely, Lattice, Lever, Greenhouse, etc.)
- Ability to audit and analyze data, as well as propose methods for continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a confidential environment
- Strong organizational skills with Impeccable attention to detail
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, high emotional intelligence
