Who you are:

FiveStars is seeking a QA Analyst to come in and make a huge impact on our growing QA team. As part of the larger Engineering organization, you will help balance the demands of rapid product development with stability and a bug free customer experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to test our wide range of products and apply cutting edge testing technology to ensure our success. What you’re going to do:

  • Own test planning, test case creation and execution for assigned products
  • Review/analyze product requirements and identify gaps where appropriate
  • Perform exploratory, destructive and end-to-end testing
  • Clearly communicate test status and any risks to the product team
  • Document issues and suggest improvements on features and processes
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to help reproduce and find root cause analysis for issues identified
  • Gather and analyze quality metrics, suggest improvements where needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of quality assurance or equivalent experience
  • Can use QA and Dev tools (logs, code, etc.) to investigate root cause
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Android and iOS apps testing experience is essential
  • Working knowledge of Linux or Mac and Windows environment
  • Experience working in Scrum and Agile environment
  • Ability to work independently with close attention to detail
  • Understanding and adherence to SQA methodologies and practices
  • Experience with JIRA and other bug tracking tools

Preferred:

  • Mobile, desktop, web and POS testing experience
  • Test automation background in UI and API driven frameworks
  • Experience with Android Studio
  • Database testing is a huge plus
  • Experience in or knowledge of SMB and Payments space
  • Experience in reliability, scalability and stress testing
  • Thorough understanding of a breadth of technologies (databases, networking, tools, etc)
