Overview of Role:

To combine the strategic and operational leadership of FITCH London, sourcing and developing talent to support core competences and future innovation opportunities that fuel client growth.

New business generation within the UK and the wider region of EMEA is integral, to the role.  Experience in developing and managing a new business strategy, and a commitment to drive and win new business is essential.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency business. This is a complex and multi-faceted role with a high degree of involvement across agency clients and functions. The performance of the agency is measured through financial performance, employee and client satisfaction, new business development, industry reputation, innovation and knowledge creation / management.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Commercial Management:

  • Responsible for delivery of FITCH London P&L
  • Develop and deliver against an annual business plan
  • Work with relevant parties across the business to deliver the financial targets of each business unit across all clients
  • Together with the EMEA CFO, manage the ongoing financial performance of FITCH in line with WPP standard financial ratios, practices and guidelines

 

Business Development:

  • Develop a steady new business pipeline, pitch and win profitable new business opportunities, successfully grow revenue from existing accounts
  • With the Chief Development Officer, plan a new business acquisition strategy to counter competition from a variety of areas and yield full potential from existing clients
  • Work with WPP partners to cross sell and secure and maximise joint opportunities

 

Account Management:

  • Develop a strong and vital relationships with Business Directors to provide value added support in the development of client solutions
  • Improve the account management benchmark and specifically client satisfaction scores in relation to annual client service surveys
  • Be trusted counsel key senior clients, successfully building value added relationships between FITCH and key clients

 

Creativity:

  • Create and nurture a creative operating environment
  • Work with the PR and Marketing function to ensure high levels profile opportunities to support client acquisition, retention and talent attraction
  • Work with the Chief Strategy Officer to continue to build thought leadership within experience design

 

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Managing Directors and leadership teams of the FITCH global studio network to ensure integration of the offer from brand strategy through to omnichannel design
  • Establish links with other international studios to maximise output and spread best practise
  • Be an energetic part of the Global Senior Management Team (SMT) to help shape FITCH strategy across the network

 

Employee Learning, Development and Retention:

  • Empower the Creative Directors and the Business Directors to take responsibility for the leadership of the studio’s vision and values
  • Develop protocols for talent development as a framework to drive better hires, career development planning and staff churn rates
  • Build an inclusive environment where all succeed
  • Advocate the development and relevant training of all to help reach their full potential

 

Professional & Technical Experience: 

  • Considerable experience in a related environment(s)
  • Bachelors / Masters Degree desirable
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with a proven track record
  • Strong strategic thinking and vision
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret statistical data
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with multiple levels of management
