Job Purpose:

Acting as the playmaker, the AD owns the client relationships, making key decisions and leading the team to ensure smooth delivery of projects. They exceed client expectations at all times; making the process of project management and delivery straightforward and easy for both the client and the agency. By developing good everyday relationships with clients they deliver reassurance that their accounts are being well managed. The AD will build strong, strategic business relationships in order to identify new opportunities and organically grow business.

Professional & Technical Experience:

  • Previous agency side experience at SAM level in the design industry or related creative industry (retail experience preferred) with 8+ years’ experience
  • Proven experience in 3D/environmental design process
  • Experience directing £1M+ accounts – projects with scale
  • Financially astute and great attention to detail
  • Track record of building relationships and consulting senior clients on strategic branding/ design/comms
  • Strong collaborator and communicator – a team player who can take the lead and also stand on their own when required
  • Competent line manager and leader of cross discipline teams
  • Mentorship capabilities with a proven track record of having managed more than 2 people

Key Responsibilities: The majority of time within the role is dedicated to:

  • Project Management
    - Client lead on multiple key accounts
    - Financially accountable for directing and growing complex accounts – this includes proposal writing, forecasting, strategic planning, reporting and meeting monthly and annual financial targets
    - Support Business Directors in delivering best-in-class account management
  • Leadership
    - Be a leader within the agency to the account members and other disciplines – contribute to the organic growth of others
    - Provide clarity and direction to key stakeholders at all times (brief writing/articulation of business challenges, weaknesses and opportunities)
  • Clients
    - Develop consultative relationships with key senior stakeholders within the client’s business
    - Network within a business to expand client base
    - Champion FITCH’s though-leadership and positioning by promoting its use in all works (where relevant)
  • Commercial acumen
    - Management of the whole team’s accounts
    - Fundamental understanding of the wider business position and fiscal challenges
    - Contract negotiation (not just fees)/the ability to directly engage with procurement to broker a deal that is mutually beneficial to all parties
  • Creative
    - The ability to present FITCH, strategic thinking and creative seamlessly, either as part of a team or independently
  • Industry Knowledge
    - Deep understanding of the commercial landscape surrounding the client’s business including a sound understanding of all operational aspects of their business
