SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Products & Services will support sourcing of product, services and contract management processes throughout FirstKey Homes to drive savings and cycle time improvement initiatives. This role will meet with business leaders to assess their product and services needs, facilitate market and costs analyses, perform competitive bidding, manage contracts and ensure performance standards are upheld. S/he will execute current sourcing and contract management processes throughout the organization. This leader will work in a fast pace, high-growth company that requires being adaptable, ability to work with undefined processes and the need to respond with a sense of urgency. This role is hybrid and will report to our Atlanta Corporate office. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide guidance and support to internal business units on sourcing and procurement capabilities and processes. Address concerns and urgent matters in a strategic, cost conscious, timely manner.
  • Meet with business leaders to assess, prioritize and align projects with company strategic objectives.
  • Document and maintain procurement policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal teams to implement and reinforce compliance to established processes.
  • Identify discrepancies with processes and implement solutions to optimize procurement operations.
  • Support multiple national programs that foster strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation. Programs include but are not limited to appliances, construction materials, direct spend for construction contracting and products associated with it.
  • Facilitate and conduct market, cost and supplier analyses to identify trends, competitiveness, and alternative supplier solutions. Identify and recommend solutions that best align to company strategic initiatives.
  • Support competitive bidding by drafting requests for proposals (RFP) and negotiate select supplier agreements that align with company standards.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance and contract adherence. Collaborate with internal teams to follow up on supplier issues and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of sourcing best practices, trends and technologies. Identify, recommend and implement solutions that will improve organizational performance.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.

  • May require travel to local FirstKey Homes markets and vendors up to 20% of the time.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Business, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience and/or education
  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience with procurement/sourcing or supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of sourcing and supply chain activities and reinforcing established processes
  • Experience sourcing products associated with residential homes
  • Experience with negotiating multiple million-dollar contracts in numerous categories
  • Experience with monitoring supplier performance and contract adherence
  • Proven ability to interface with cross-functional leaders to achieve organizational goals
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with heavy strength with Excel

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Six Sigma, financial auditing, and/or database experience a plus
  • Experience with sourcing suite of tools (spend analytics, eRFx, P2P tools) a plus
  • Experience working within the construction industry, specific to single-family homes a plus
  • Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company
