SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Analyst will manage various application development projects across FirstKey Homes. This role will work with internal resources to understand application needs and manage current processes. The Business Analyst will be working in a fast-paced startup environment and have access to the latest Microsoft technologies. This role will report to our corporate office.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist in the creation and updating of the monthly master data tape, ensuring its accuracy by coordinating with capital markets, accounting, and other internal teams.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze and produce data for complex securitization structures, private term loans, and warehouse financing.
  • Develop and maintain SQL data models to support portfolio management and ensure compliance in capital markets.
  • Work with other Finance teams to develop data tools for analyzing variances and historical trends.
  • Construct comprehensive analysis to offer insights into portfolio performance.
  • Create and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards for executive leadership, providing clear insights into complex data.
  • Ensure compliance with private debt facilities and securitizations in collaboration with the capital markets team.
  • Utilize knowledge of accounting processes and procedures to assist the accounting team in preparing and reviewing financial reports for distribution to investors and lenders.
  • Manage and coordinate quality assurance resources when needed.
  • Identify and lead efforts to remove obstacles and/or obtain resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Scan the application environment continuously to identify projects to enhance operations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging knowledge, practices and technologies to enhance project management methodologies. Recommend and implement solutions that enhance company operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Very strong knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information into an easily understood concepts.
  • Proven ability to work with internal teams to complete time sensitive projects and meet organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to interface with various job levels from Individual Contributors to C-Suite Executives.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with large data set analysis, clean up, and maintenance.
  • 2 years experience in a finance or business analyst role.
  • Experience working in property management, real estate or similar industry.
  • Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Computers— Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience with SQL queries.
  • Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
