SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

In conjunction with the Senior Corporate Counsel, the Structured Finance Paralegal will support structured finance transactions and ensure that deals are executed smoothly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Coordinating the various structured finance transactions from inception to closing.

· Review, edit, and format legal documents related to structured finance deals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Coordinate the routing and signing of closing packages, ensuring timely execution and notarization where necessary.

· Calendar and track important deadlines and milestones throughout the transaction process to ensure timely completion.

· Prepare signature blocks and organize documents for execution, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

WORKING CONDITIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelors’ degree

· 2+ years paralegal experience (law firm preferred)

· Transactional experience (rather than litigation)

· Areas of experience (from most to least important):

o Financing

o Secured transactions, liens, Uniform Commercial Code

o Real estate

o Securities/structured finance

o Treasury management

o Corporate

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the real estate, title, and property management industry

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

· Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography, and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.

· English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

· Law and Government — Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
