THE ROLE

 

Firewalk Studios is looking for a Lead Technical Producer who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Lead Technical Producer, you will be responsible for working with Executive Producer, Engineering Director, and Lead Live Operations Producer to ensure the engineering teams, and dev ops teams have a clear plan and support. You will be responsible for keeping us focused, leading the coordination of technical aspects of development, and ensuing the drive toward project goals and timelines are understood and met, on time, within budget, and as accurately scoped as possible.

  • You have the communication skills required to help different stakeholders understand a solution, problem, or plan, and if you can’t fill in the context, you know how to get the right people involved to help find optimal path forward.
  • You are fascinated by development processes and are inspired to suggest improvements wherever you can see them.
  • You are experienced in developing and maintaining detailed feature schedules that consider iteration, QA testing and polish required to close features.
  • You can navigate challenging, ambiguous situations to help achieve common ground resulting in forward momentum and tangible results.

WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE

  • Mentor, and lead of a team of 2 to 5 individuals including Associate up to Senior Producers.
  • Advocate data driven and analytical approach to measurement of progress, quality, and stability of the game.
  • Assess the progress of the engineering teams you partner with through task reviews, bugs, code reviews.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to develop roadmaps, assess priorities/risks that align with studio’s business and product goals.
  • Run daily stand-ups for teams and chase down any blockers.
  • Collaborating with QA and non-technical team members to define scope better for a complex feature.
  • Writing and running Jira queries to help the production team analyze team velocity against the project schedule.
  • Advise on scheduling and progress of systems related to the development calendar and release readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience shipping, at minimum, one AAA game.
  • Extensive experience as a Technical Producer or similar senior production role in game development, with a proven track record of successful production management.
  • Experience in working with systems that span multiple disciplines, preferably within the engineering.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead complex, multi-functional projects and facilitate positive outcomes for all parties.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
