The Role / Position Overview

We are excited to offer a role for Sales Operations Manager at FT Professional, our rapidly expanding digital subscription business based in London. This position involves supporting the Head of Revenue Operations to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the Sales team. Key responsibilities include managing stakeholder relationships, refining processes, reviewing and implementing technology, and ensuring the effective use of our CRM platform to meet business needs and support KPIs.

The successful candidate will support CRM-related projects and the continuous development of our sales operations, which may involve data and process enhancements, and system integrations.

This position requires a candidate who is open to using modern technologies, including AI, to foster innovation and increase efficiency in our sales processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase sales productivity by simplifying processes, implementing automation tools, and enhancing scalability across all sales initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and ensure seamless system integration.

  • Working alongside Head of Rev. Ops and Sales leadership team, you will help identify high-impact areas in our evolving sales process where you will spearhead and execute operational improvements

  • Work with Sales Programme to roll out best practices to global sales teams

  • Support cross-functional initiatives between Sales and Internal Products

  • Ensure our CRM platform is configured in such a way that it delivers measurable benefits to our sales and operations teams

  • Assist with change management and adoption of our sales policies and CRM system.

  • Talk to teams to understand their experience and create a feedback loop to help us create a roadmap

  • Act as a consultant/business analyst to key Sales stakeholders, share feedback and maximise value

  • Develop and deliver the Sales Ops workstream system, effectively managing prioritization to focus on the highest priority areas.

  • Provide regular updates on progress and any issues to key stakeholders

  • Coordinate cross functional processes with Marketing, Customer Success and New Products to help meet new business, renewal and upsell targets. 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required Skills

  • A graduate with a degree ideally in a numerate, business or marketing field

  • Understanding of the Sales Management roles and the Sales pipeline

  • Strong business analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for CRM improvement and optimise using the features and capabilities of the platform.

  • Process-orientated, with a keen interest in data

  • Must be proactive and be able to operate autonomously

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of people and to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships

  • Ability to think creatively, ask questions and test ideas

  • Well organised and effective time management skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at once to meet tight deadlines. 

  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in CRM and/or Salesforce and share ideas

Preferred Skills

  • Project management experience would be advantageous.

  • Digital Subscription, media or technology background

  • A high level understanding of data regulation such as GDPR
