Final Strike Games is an independent development studio with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team and a passion for making multiplayer. Founded by industry veterans, FSG is currently developing AAA experiences for PC and Console.


Final Strike Games is looking for an experienced and talented Lead Designer to join our team and help define and build our next great game. Collaborating across disciplines and leading the Design Team, the Lead Designer is responsible for developing new game experiences and shipping the highest quality product. You will manage a team of talented people to make them as successful as they can be, but we also expect you to be able to roll your sleeves up and get things done by yourself when necessary. Our team is highly collaborative and we believe that all voices should be heard, and we expect you to be a champion of that mindset.


  • Work with the Leadership Team to understand project goals, priorities, and vision
  • Understand consumer needs and help make sure the features developed by the team will contribute to player satisfaction and enjoyment
  • Lead the design efforts to also meet business needs of given projects
  • Able to execute on prototyping in whatever format makes the most sense to prove out ideas (Design docs, wireframes, flow charts, mockups, editor implementation)
  • Define and manage the implementation of key game features
  • Take part in playtests and help drive solutions for any encountered problems and translate collected relevant feedback into action items

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Executive Producer, identify staffing needs on the team; responsible for contributing to crafting accurate job descriptions, reviewing resumes and screening qualified candidates, and setting role expectations for the interviewing team
  • Create an inspiring team environment through effective feedback and an open communication culture
  • Monitor team performance, listen to team member feedback, and resolve any issues or conflicts; escalate retention and/or broad impact concerns
  • Discover training and development needs for the team, recommend opportunities to increase team skill sets, and provide mentorship and coaching for art team members, ensuring we have a high functioning team
  • Foster a positive and creative work environment for the team


  • At least one Multiplayer/Live Services shipped AAA title in a leadership role
  • 10+ years of game design experience on console and/or PC
  • Professional experience working in the Unreal Engine implementing content directly
  • Early stage gameplay and CCC experience
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums and all levels to ensure the best game is built
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and the gaming industry overall
  • Ability to analyze and adapt designs quickly based on feedback and data
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and effective time-management skills
  • High-quality bar and obsessive attention to detail

  • Ability to see (near visual acuity) and hear, either naturally or with correction, and speak well enough to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements that include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, and gross manipulation
