Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated person to join our cutting-edge robotics team. As a Robot Operator, you will be responsible for controlling and overseeing the functions of humanoid robots in various applications, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate humanoid robots using specialized control interfaces and software
Monitor and adjust robot movements, actions, and responses in real-time to achieve desired outcomes
Execute predefined tasks and adapt to unforeseen challenges during robot operation
Conduct routine checks to ensure the proper functioning of humanoid robots
Identify and address technical issues promptly, either through troubleshooting or by coordinating with the technical support team
Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any mechanical or software issues
Assist in the programming and customization of robot behaviors and tasks based on project requirements
Collaborate with robotics engineers to implement updates and improvements to the robot's software
Requirements:
Extensive experience developing and working with robots
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Familiar with robotic programming languages and control interfaces
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Bonus Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++
Understanding of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control systems
Previous experience in operating robots or similar robotic systems
