WHO YOU ARE:
- Required: Master’s degree in physics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Required: the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Under senior Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) mentoring, take on the role of RSO
- Track and manage calibration of dosimetry equipment
- Perform dosimetry measurements using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs)
- Perform gamma spectrometry on activation foils for neutron dosimetry
- Operate and manage neutron generators
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Perform radiation transport analysis using MCNP, Geant4, and SRIM/TRIM
- Gamma dosimetry using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs)
- Neutron dosimetry using activation foils and HPGe gamma spectrometer
- Knowledge of radiation mitigation techniques
- Strong understanding of nuclear physics
- A basic understanding of radiation safety and regulations
LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO

SALARY RANGE: $125,000-$150,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
