The Data Engineering & Analytics team develops a centralized data warehouse. It produces reports and dashboards for Fictiv to provide strategic insights that impact multiple functional areas, including Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Customer Support. The team partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, timely, secure, and has properly managed change control.

This team sets the stage for ensuring Fictiv's business delivers on KPIs and goals and provides all the inputs for its strategic decision-making.

The Data Engineering & Analytics team creates reports and dashboards to provide meaningful insights from the data warehouse. This team works closely with cross-functional stakeholders and leverages multiple Business Intelligence (BI) technologies to achieve these goals.

As the Supply Chain Business Systems Analyst, you will guide the Data Engineering team with business and technical requirements to ensure data warehouse structures support these needs. We have business systems that support these needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional peers to build dashboards and reports to monitor progress, answer questions, and ensure key management reports are available and accurate. You will create tools in Tableau (and other BI tools) for users to explore data and make data-driven decisions.

You will specialize in analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and providing insights that help decision-making. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, working with the team to create implementation plans, and providing thought leadership for all data reporting solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations. You will mentor and shepherd best practices amongst the extended cross-functional team to ensure appropriate hygiene of Fictiv’s reporting environments and allow users to be self-sufficient. 

You will partner with the Data Analytics Manager to support and scale our analytics. SQL should be your tool of choice when pulling datasets, and you can paint a great visual picture of our complex data. You will collaborate with peer technical leads in various disciplines, including Engineering, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, to drive workflows and with stakeholders to understand and measure company goals.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and develop innovative solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.
Supply Chain Planning: Supply Chain Analysts should possess strong planning skills to develop and implement strategies for optimizing the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers while meeting demand and minimizing risks.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in supply chain management software, data analytics tools, and ERP systems is essential for Supply Chain Analysts to analyze data effectively, generate reports, and optimize supply chain processes.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is crucial for Supply Chain Analysts to collaborate with cross-functional teams, convey complex analyses and insights, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Supply Chain Metrics and KPIs: Understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to supply chain operations, such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and fill rate, is important for Supply Chain Analysts to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Logistics and Transportation Management: Knowledge of logistics and transportation management principles, including route optimization, carrier selection, and freight cost analysis, is essential for Supply Chain Analysts to optimize transportation networks and reduce shipping costs.
Continuous Improvement: Embracing a mindset of continuous improvement and being proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency is essential for Supply Chain Analysts to drive ongoing improvements in supply chain performance.
Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
Responsible for bringing together key business leaders on an ongoing basis and leading this group in defining, prioritizing, and executing process/system-related improvements
Effectively communicates project scope, approach, and objectives to the business process team to correctly set reasonable expectations and supports a product manager's development of an accurate project plan.
Business Analysis skills, including complex requirements analysis, functional design, data analysis, and software implementation skills, including the ability to understand relationships between multiple systems and document them in an understandable and concise way.
Strong technical skills, including understanding database structures and data queries to create data mappings for system interfaces and ad hoc reports.
Collaborate with Project Strategists and Project Drivers, Enterprise Architecture and Application Development teams, and key user Subject Matter Experts to analyze tradeoffs between requirements, user experience, and performance needs. Assure that IT is strategically aligned with the business.
Design and create visually appealing and informative dashboards, graphs, and reports using Tableau (and other BI tools). Experience with other BI tools, such as Sigma or Power BI, is a plus.
Develop and manage strong relationships, collaborating consultative-ly with internal customers and proactively offering them insights and suggestions.
Assist product managers in ensuring data model additions are accounted for by data team development plans and appropriate reports are updated.
Act as a mentor to less technical stakeholders with best practices for writing reports and dashboards.

B.S. in Data Science, Data Analysis, or a related field.
3-5 years experience as a Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Business Analyst generating enterprise reports using Tableau.
2 years of providing complex analysis reports in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing operations, or similar fields.
Preferred Enterprise Reporting experience to help architect and design our growing BI environment.
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Fivetran
Proven experience working with complex datasets and writing SQL queries directly with multiple levels of CTEs.
Extensive knowledge of BI concepts (regressions, sliding window functions, financial metrics, marketing funnel metrics, logistics and fulfillment metrics)
Experience with leading and coordinating cross-functional initiatives, conducting interviews, and performing analyses to create business cases for projects.
Experience performing live training sessions for internal and external stakeholders during system and process implementation.
Experience using Salesforce, Marketo, Netsuite, or similar core business systems is a plus.
Must have strong communication skills and can interact effectively with co-workers.
Must have strong leadership skills.

 

Salary Range: $112,000 to $138,000 per year, depending upon experience.
