Your role will be vital to ensuring the happiness of our customers by touching on multiple areas of our quality control process. You’ll be handling the next generation of hardware every day, and will be responsible for a significant part for the success of our customer’s projects.

You will report to the [Feidi SQE Lead].

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate with Fictiv Sourcing team identifying and on boarding new MP (Manufacturing Partner)
  • Work with cross-functional teams and Manufacturing Partners to ensure the good quality of the products sourced in Dongguan or nearby regions
  • Mainly Injection Moulding project quality assurance . May extend work scope to CNC/3D printing/Die casting/sheet metal  Project quality assurance 
  • Ensure MP delivery very urgent level  project with On Time  In Full performance through 
    • MP selection and qualification
    • MP quality management system improvement
    • MP project review
    • MP process control
    • MP out-going inspection 
    • IF (in full) failure Corrective Action Report
    • On site inspection to the heavy part, QC non metrology capability part or other projects specified.  
  • Customer complaint handling
  • Coordinate TPM (Technical Program Manager) on site verify MP project progress to meet schedule defined. 
  • Contributing to the Fictiv platform also processes continuously improving. 
  • Support and back up other SQEs when necessary. 
  • Other tasks assigned by SQE lead. e.g. inspection process optimization, potential MP assessment, etc.

Desired traits

  • Mechanical Engineer background preferred 
  • With 5+ years quality engineer or supplier quality engineer experience in the injection molding industry. With rich experience of :
    • Injection tooling design, process parameter setting 
    • Injection Molding parts inspection (dimension, cosmetic etc.)
    • Injection molding tooling qualification
    • Injection molding production process control
    • Good experience of Corrective Action Report analysis and continuous improvement of injection molding
  • Possess great attention to detail and also projects the big picture. 
  • Ability of problem solving
  • Excellent communicator, strong sense of responsibility
  • Interest in creating and optimizing processes and systems
  • Passionate about continuously improving and learning
  • Work independently in the manufacturing site to ensure project success.  
  • Willing to work under pressure 
  • English reading and writing are preferred, oral and listening is a plus. 
  • Clear thinking and data driven decision maker
