What You’ll Be Doing

• A Generalist in cost aptitude with an agility to adapt to different needs and not a subject specialist.
• For this role, manufacturing process knowledge is limited only to CNC Machining + sheetmetal + fabrication. Metal casting general knowledge is preferred. Injection molding and urethane casting is not fulfilled in India.
• Secondary process knowledge like Anodising (must), Chromate conversion coatings, (must), Electro Nickel plating (must), Powder coating (preferred), Painting (preferred), passivation (must), Electro plating (must) and knowledge of associated ASTM & ISO standards (preferred)
• Able to reverse work on costs based on customer targets.
• Knowledge of different inspection methods (preferred)
• Problem solving & quick decision making (must)
• Able to generate Should cost based on own estimates
• Sound knowledge of material (must) : Stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminium alloys, Titanium (preferred), plastics (preferred) and their associated ASTM, ISO, IS, DIN standards.
• Worked in ISO 9001 : 2015 organisation (must) & exposure to ISO 9001 :2015 documentation (preferred)
• Able to interact with MP's over technical discussions and visit if needed.
• Good negotiation skills (must)
• Candidates working in customised business solutions catering to diverse business units like (General Engineering, aerospace, consumer, medical. auto) preferred

5. 5-6 yrs Experience as Manufacturing Engineer.

6. Understanding of GD&T and conventional (coordinate) tolerancing

7. Knowledge of manufacturability, and limitations, of common metals and plastics

8. Exposure to multiple custom mechanical manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, urethane casting, etc
