Scope of Responsibilities:
This role will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel and work closely with the Company's engineering, product and security functions. The role focuses on providing legal counsel related to privacy and security matters, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal data privacy and cybersecurity laws, and related technology legal issues.

Your Role:
- Hands-On Leadership: Own privacy compliance efforts, from conducting risk assessments to developing internal processes for handling data requests and breach responses.
- Collaborate & Implement: Work directly with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate privacy-by-design principles into Fetch’s products and services.
- Solve Problems in Real-Time: Provide fast, actionable guidance on privacy issues, balancing legal requirements with business objectives.
- Build Practical Tools: Draft and implement privacy frameworks, policies, and contracts tailored to Fetch’s dynamic needs. Familiarity with DataGrail or similar tools is helpful.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor changes in U.S. privacy and security laws and regulations, and ensure Fetch stays compliant while driving innovation.
- Get in the Trenches: Conduct training sessions, support internal audits, and refine data protection practices to ensure Fetch’s operational reality matches data protection legal guidelines.
Who You Are:
- JD with bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with U.S. privacy laws, with a focus on applying them in real-world scenarios.
- CIPP/US or similar certification.
- Familiarity with privacy enhancing technologies and privacy management platforms (such as DataGrail and similar).
- A practical thinker who thrives on breaking down complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Skilled at juggling multiple priorities and responding to rapid changes with confidence.
- Strong communicator who excels at working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
Compensation:
- At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $172,300-$233,125 (this does not include commission or sales plan incentive funds, which our Sales employees are eligible for). We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
