What we’re building and why we’re building it.
Every month, millions of people use America’s Rewards App, earning rewards for buying brands they love – and a whole lot more. Whether shopping in the grocery aisle, grabbing a bite at the drive-through or playing a favorite mobile game, Fetch empowers consumers to live rewarded throughout their day. To date, we’ve delivered more than $1 billion in rewards and earned more than 5 million five-star reviews from happy users.
It’s not just our users who believe in Fetch: with investments from SoftBank, Univision, and Hamilton Lane, and partnerships ranging from challenger brands to Fortune 500 companies, Fetch is reshaping how brands and consumers connect in the marketplace. When you work at Fetch, you play a vital role in a platform that drives brand loyalty and creates lifelong consumers with the power of Fetch points. User and partner success are at the heart of everything we do, and we extend that same commitment to our employees.
Ranked as one of America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes for two years in a row, Fetch fosters a people-first culture rooted in trust, accountability, and innovation. We encourage our employees to challenge ideas, think bigger, and always bring the fun to Fetch.
Fetch is an equal employment opportunity employer.
The Fetch Product Design team is responsible for the entire design of the Fetch app—from user experience design to creative direction and production. Our goal is to deliver a fun experience that our shoppers (and partners) love and can’t live without.
Fetch is looking for experienced Group Product Designers to join our team. You will be working within a focused, balanced team; it is your responsibility to lead efforts that measurably improve people’s lives. You will guide our team’s culture through mentorship and thought leadership. You will help Fetch level up by infusing user-centered practices into your Collective and across the organization.
Product designers at Fetch must be…
- Risk-takers. You’ve got ample room to fail and no time to play it safe.
- Endlessly curious. You never hesitate to ask “why” and tirelessly seek out innovative solutions.
- Expert collaborators. You are equally comfortable working side-by-side with executive stakeholders, teammates, and non-technical colleagues as you are with your fellow designers.
- UI craftspeople. A background in visual design is not required but a well-practiced eye for detail & aesthetics absolutely is. Your shipped mobile app work needs to knock our socks off.
- Radically scrappy. You thrive in ambiguity and won’t hesitate to get exactly what you need to keep moving ahead. You can get stuff done!
- Team-players. Our secret sauce is our team dynamic; we don’t have time for egos.
By month 3 you will…
- Have 1-4 direct reports inside your Collective (a group of multi-disciplinary teams focused on the same problem space) and coach them in:
- Design strategy and continuous discovery
- World-class UI design
- Strategic, user-centered research & usability testing
- Get acquainted with the existing roadmap and vision
- Learn our design process by contributing as an individual designer:
- To our design system, Frisbee
- Facilitate design critiques
- Practice Design QA amongst the Collective
- Set the routine for your collective to deliver great design
By month 6 you will…
- Own the Design vision and strategy of your collective in collaboration with Product and Engineering
- Create a design roadmap with the designers in the collective that aligns with the vision and strategy
- Identify gaps in Frisbee that the Collective must change:
- Accessibility misses, components to build, guidelines to create, and components that should be consolidated
- Actively drive research:
- Coaching designers on usability testing, strategic research, and wide lens research
- Contribute to a long-term vision (6+ months) for your collective
By year 1 you will…
- Coach designers across many collectives
- Educate packs in your Collective on design best practices, especially those without a dedicated designer
- Create a high-functioning design practice for your Collective
We’re looking for people who have:
- Player-coach leadership experience
- 2+ years people management experience for product design team(s) or organization(s)
- Must have been for a consumer product at some point
- 8+ years of relevant experience, consumer mobile app design experience required
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Experience with Figma
- Experience coaching designers on building research into their practice
- Experience partnering with animators and illustrators
- Bonus if you have experience working with Rive and/or Lottiefiles
- Technical acumen and experience designing for complex problems and tools
- Ability to self-direct and lean on their prioritization methods to get their work done in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Experience designing, building, maintaining, and implementing design systems
