Job Title: General Builder/Working Foreman/Manager
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Multiple Sites (within the region)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Builder/Working Foreman/Manager to lead and manage a range of construction and demolition projects across multiple sites. The successful candidate will oversee two labour teams, ensuring that structural alterations, demolitions, and enabling works are executed efficiently and to high standards. A background in bricklaying and the ability to read and work confidently from construction drawings is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage demolition and structural alteration projects across multiple sites.
  • Oversee two labour teams, ensuring project milestones are met within deadlines.
  • Coordinate the enabling works of unoccupied buildings in preparation for the fit-out stage.
    • Open up structures for surveys and inspections.
    • Mark up drawings and identify potential hazards or issues.
  • Conduct demolition, structural alterations, and possible extensions/external improvements as required.
  • Manage groundworks and landscaping, ensuring quality and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Provide expert guidance on structural surveys and collaborate with surveyors, architects, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a General Builder, Foreman, or Manager within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in bricklaying (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple construction sites simultaneously.
  • Confidence in identifying potential structural issues and hazards.
  • Familiarity with groundworks, landscaping, and external improvements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and site teams.
