Title: Landscaper (External Maintenance Team)
Hours: 40 Hours a Week, Mon - Fri, 8am-5pm
Salary: Up to £30,000
Location: Across Multi Sites - Role comes with Van or mileage allowance for Van owners
Purpose of Role
Responsibility for the quality and appearance of the Nursery chain and other relevant clients, delivering a full range of grounds maintenance services.
- Working with another team member on a regional area of circa 10 nursery settings, then assisting with wider project works and new openings etc.
- Maintaining marketing leading environments and ensuring settings have that ‘Wow-Factor’ for all visiting guests, parents, and staff.
- Horticultural grounds maintenance tasks at all Fennies sites working to a pre-planned schedule:
- Check front dives, carparks, beds and gardens
- Removal of waste, debris, dead plants, leaves, weeds & cobwebs
- Check and clear bin & buggy stores
- Check gutters, drains (including high level), flat roofs and hoppers.
- Clear blockages and leaves, report damage to the head of FM
- Jet wash frontages and tiled surfaces
- Maintain planted beds with a stringent maintenance.
- Watering, dead heading and plant tendering throughout the year
- Rake & replenish shingle, play bark and bark mulch as needed
- Review and replenish the water feature at least fortnightly – Details TBC as we are looking to sterilise
- Check equipment and wooden structures for damage, solidity, sharps
- Project / Seasonal maintenance to a pre-determined list:
- New planting
- Install and remove the hot weather sails for summer / winter
- Weed spraying
- Sleeper or Equipment repairs
- Renewal of barked areas and mud kitchens
- Full deep cleans of drains / gutters / gullies (Such as Wimbledon)
- Laying of kiln dried sand as applicable
- Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery, and equipment
- Ensuring that all visited locations are left in a clean and tidy state
- Maintenance of records relating to tasks performed, timesheets, materials, vehicles and equipment
- Reading and working to Risk Assessments and safe systems of work as directed by the Supervisor
- Use of appropriate tools and equipment including the operation of powered hand tools, minor plant and machinery
- Reporting any damage or vandalism to the Head of FM
- Undertaking any other tasks deemed necessary to meet the demands of the business
