As part of our growing software development team, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to report directly to the QA Team Lead, based in Hamburg, Germany.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a key member of our development team. Working closely with the software developers as well as the other members of the QA team, the role will focus on testing our software on multiple mobile and desktop platforms, as well as defining general test cases.

About the opportunity:

  • Participate in the software development process
  • Conduct development-accompanying software testing
  • Report and track software bugs, while verifying fixes as implemented
  • Create and execute test designs and test cases that adequately test the functionality, compatibility, operability, and interoperability of a software application
  • Review product requirements, functional specifications, and design specifications to create comprehensive test cases for achieving high levels of test coverage

About your talent:

Essential skills, experience, and education:       

  • Strong guitar background with experience in recording software and hardware
  • Basic knowledge in music notation
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS and Android
  • Good understanding of Quality Assurance processes and product life cycle
  • Experience with a bug or ticket tracking system such as Jira / Confluence
  • Excellent Networking and Computer troubleshooting skills required
  • Strong initiative, personal accountability, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (German and English)
  • Passion for music, audio, and multimedia technology

Desirable qualities:

  • Background in music or music production/audio technology 
  • Knowledge of PreSonus Products
