Position Overview:
At Fellow, as a Sustaining Engineer, you will be working on the core engineering of next generation consumer coffee products. The Engineer will be expected to tackle design, manufacturing, and technical challenges using engineering fundamentals. In this role you will work to improve current product lines via design & manufacturing improvements and root cause analysis.
This is a key hire that will allow Fellow to expand our internal engineering capabilities.

This position is required to be in the Bay Area as this is a hybrid position, 3 days in office.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the effort and manage a small team that identifies, designs, and executes performance and quality improvements with the cross-functional support from Hardware Engineering and Supply Chain teams across the globe
- Designing, coordinating, and analyzing the results of trials based on application of experimental design protocols
- Hands-on debugging and failure analysis of returned units and manufacturing test failures to identify root cause, execute corrective actions, drive quality and yield improvements
- Communicate directly with Contract Manufacturers and suppliers to maintain production capacity
- Own technical project management of Continuous Improvement efforts
- Support the electrical development of test fixtures for RMA diagnostic and engineering analysis in collaboration with Product Quality team
- Own the creation and implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintain Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) databases
- Work with Product Quality and Customer Experience teams to monitor and drive improvements in member experience metrics in the field (i.e. NPS and reviews)
Requirements:
- BS or greater in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in relevant fields
- First-hand experience with international contract manufacturers and suppliers, product development, designing for manufacturing/assembly/test, and technical project management
- Good mechatronics fundamentals (i.e. able to read schematics, build and prototype electro-mechanical systems)
- Extensive experience in manufacturing processes, automated test, and debug of sophisticated systems in production at high volumes
- Lab experience including soldering and the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Familiarity with regulatory emissions, safety, and design/manufacturing standards
- Up to 30% travel domestically and internationally to contract manufacturers, partners, and suppliers

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000
