Feather is growing our best-in-class logistics team in New York, and is seeking a Delivery Lead to manage daily deliveries to our customers. You will be responsible for successfully completing a daily route, while managing other team members helping with assembly, delivery, and pickup. You’ll collaborate closely with the warehouse, logistics, and account management teams and will report to the Logistics Manager.
What you’ll do:
Act as the lead team member on Feather deliveries, providing a best-in-class experience to customers by working within brand guidelines, and contributing to the development of best practices
Be a proud brand ambassador with the unique responsibility of entering our customers’ homes and interacting with them in person
Safely drive a Feather vehicle (16’ non-CDL) to complete a pre-assigned route of deliveries and/or pickups in a given day, including delivery via walk-up or service elevator, onsite assembly, and trash removal
Load the delivery vehicle each day with furniture for delivery to customers, taking responsibility for the condition of each piece
Collaborate with the NYC Warehouse Manager on a daily basis to develop policies and best practices within the market
Operate within our existing software stack to manage deliveries, damage reporting, customer communications, etc
What you have:
2+ years in delivery operations, ideally as a driver
Experience working with furniture or large goods that require assembly
Proven ability to succeed without direct supervision
A keen and sensitive eye for customer service and experience
A network you can call on to support you as we build out our team of trusted associates
Deep knowledge of the complex logistical challenges associated with the NY market
