Feather is building out our team in Los Angeles, our newest market.  Our best-in-class logistics team is seeking a Delivery Lead to manage daily deliveries to our customers. You will be responsible for the customer experience, efficiency, and overall success of our home delivery function and will play a key role in the development and ongoing execution of Feather’s operational excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with the warehouse, logistics, and account management teams and will report to the Logistics Manager.

What you'll do:

  • Be one of our first two hires in our newest market and have key input over our launch and growth in Los Angeles
  • Act as the lead team member on Feather deliveries, providing a best-in-class experience to customers by working within brand guidelines, and contributing to the development of these guidelines
  • Take pride in being a brand ambassador with the unique responsibility of entering our customers’ homes and interacting with them in person
  • Work alongside and manage a contracted delivery associate during the day to assist in excelling in the difficult LAX metro landscape
  • Safely drive a Feather vehicle (16’ non-CLD) to complete a pre-assigned route of 3-7 deliveries and/or pickups in a given day, including delivery via walk-up or service elevator, onsite assembly, and trash removal
  • Load the delivery vehicle each day with furniture for delivery to customers, taking responsibility for the condition of each piece
  • Collaborate with the LAX Warehouse Manager on a daily basis to develop policies and best practices within the market
  • Operate within our existing software stack to manage deliveries, damage reporting, customer communications, and more

What you have:

  • 2+ years in delivery operations
  • Experience working with furniture
  • Proven ability to succeed without direct supervision
  • A keen and sensitive eye for customer service and experience
  • A network you can call on to support you as we build out our team of trusted contractors
  • Deep knowledge of the complex logistical challenges associated with the LA market
  • Ability to lift & move heavy furniture with help from dollies and hand-trucks
  • Willingness to work with contractors but without direct supervision, as our team is based in New York City
