Fathom is on a mission to understand and structure the world’s medical data. We are a venture-backed company with an engineering team out of organizations like Google, Facebook, and Twitch. We are starting by using NLP deep learning to structure the data contained within physician notes to automate medical coding, a process performed by 125,000 FTEs that costs the US healthcare system over $15B annually.

We are looking for a self-starting Technical Recruiter located in Toronto, Canada, who is passionate about building talented teams and company culture. You’ll be a great addition to the team if you are well organized, an experienced multitasker, and a strong verbal and written communicator. In this role, you’ll get to be a part of Fathom’'s next exciting phase of growth as we scale and build out several teams by sourcing and developing strong candidate pipelines.


Your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing candidates to ensure our pipeline is constantly flowing
  • Guiding and scheduling candidates throughout the recruiting process while representing the company with integrity and professionalism
  • Leading phone screens with candidates, qualifying them for fit, understanding their motivations and generating excitement about Fathom’s story
  • Championing internal processes and procedures to keep our well-oiled recruiting machine running smoothly
  • Diligently using our ATS to track candidate pipeline activity and to stay organized
  • Collaborating on ad-hoc events or tasks related to talent, people operations and culture


We are looking for a teammate with:

  • 2+ years of experience in a high volume or agency recruitment position
  • An undergraduate degree
  • Exceptional organizational skills and follow-through on multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of ownership, maturity, confidentiality and attention to detail


Bonus points if you have:

  • Technical or Business recruitment experience
  • Experience working at a Series A or B startup
