ROLE OVERVIEW

The Stylist will partner with photographers to ensure each outfit is best represented online according to the style guidelines. The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively on their feet, direct hair and makeup, understand what silhouettes and accessorizing is appropriate, and suggest editorial concepts appropriate to the brand across multiple categories.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for hitting daily KPI goals of ~70 samples daily, while maintaining trend and on brand styling across multiple categories
  • On set styling of a wide variety of products, ensuring that priority items are shot first
  • Monitor photoshoots for any discrepancies and ensure each look is fully captured to the highest garment aesthetic
  • Consistently utilize a comprehensive understanding of styling fundamentals and merchandise standards, including a detail-oriented eye and ability to execute exceptional on-model styling 
  • Continuously implement merchandise standards across all styling initiatives from prep through sample hand-off
  • Troubleshoot styling challenges on-set based on Fashion Nova standards|aesthetic
  • Maintain a consistent dialogue with the Photographer, Styling Manager and Sample Coordinators about workflow and expectations
  • Review Stylist Closet daily and request change-over|additions when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of studio space
  • Work cross functionally with Buying|Merchandising team 
  • Present fresh styling ideas and inspiration to the team

 ROLE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Stylist working in a fast-paced, eCommerce environment directly dealing with garment styling (on- and off-model)
  • Knowledge of on trend Styling with a keen eye for detail
  • Must have portfolio that demonstrates expertise in styling on-model, still-life, product, lifestyle and editorial photography
  • Experience styling live models on set in the fashion industry is a must
  • Experience working with e-commerce product styling is highly preferred
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible thinker with the ability to make sound independent decisions
  • Ability to work with direct supervision, both independently as well as a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • BSA in Fashion preferred
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
