Farmstead is looking for a Graphic Designer to own creation of static and video assets for advertising on the marketing team. You are a predominantly right-brained type who understands the important role design plays within the customer experience. You like bringing your own ideas to the table, but also work well on a team to transform shared stories and ideas into visuals. You understand that Farmstead is in a period of rapid growth where things are moving insanely fast and everyone shares responsibility over the future of the company—you’ll be able to see your impact in real-time. That scares some people, but you’re one of the outliers who finds that kind of challenge exciting. In fact, you probably wouldn’t have it any other way.

 

What You’ll Do:

We are a small but mighty marketing team, and you will be responsible for creating visuals that will be used throughout Farmstead’s digital and print advertising. You’ll be working closely with the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing and other marketing team members.

  • Develop and execute concepts and designs focusing on digital assets (static and animated ads, banners, rich media, social assets, and emails) with some print and out of home collateral
  • Follow Farmstead’s brand identity systems for typography, photography, color, etc. to create visuals that align with our established aesthetic
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver within the established timeframes
  • Support new hub launches and development of marketing’s hub launch strategy
  • Build a strong rapport and trust with colleagues by demonstrating timely communication, high level of participation, honesty, and a team mentality
  • Other duties as needed to support customer growth at Farmstead

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience creating marketing assets
  • Provide a portfolio of work highlighting creative skills across online and offline channels
  • Stay current with emerging graphic design trends + news
  • Expert knowledge of design concepts (color, layout, typography, grid, white space)
  • Understanding of print concepts (bleed, resolution, color) and ability to facilitate jobs with printers
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Not afraid to speak up; strong consultative/communication skills, and a desire to work with others to find win-win solutions 
  • Ability to be flexible and kind when working under typical pressures within a startup (deadlines, changes, ambiguity)
  • Affinity for food and grocery preferred
