JOB SUMMARY The Corporate Counsel--FBN Inputs LLC will be responsible for complex commercial and regulatory matters relating to our inputs business--crop protection, nutrients, seed, treatments. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of business advisory, planning and counseling activities. This position will be reporting to the General Counsel. RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Strategic and day-to-day management of legal, regulatory, commercial and contractual aspects of the FBN Inputs business
Draft and negotiate supply chain contracts, focusing on complex international transactional matters
Developing and executing regulatory compliance programs, including developing and implementing compliance audit
Advising on marketing and sales strategy, including commission and compensation strategies
Together with finance, advising on extended terms and finance program offerings relating to direct and marketplace sales
Drafting and advising on warehouse, 3PL and other supply chain contracts
Interfacing with EHS function for all FBN Inputs product lines and distribution channels
Providing business counseling, including privacy and antitrust
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution and a license to practice law in at least one of the following states: CA, SD, IL
5+ years experience in agricultural industry, focusing on North America sale and distribution of crop protection, seed, nutrient inputs
High competency, including speed and accuracy, in commercial contracting matters
Stellar oral communication skills
Excellent team and project leadership skills
Regulatory 50-state acumen
Ability to travel out-of-state and potentially internationally (estimated 15-30% of time) depending on the locations and status of the matters assigned
Ability to function and manage independently, but also work well in an environment that requires working with others to be successful
