FanDuel is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our Design System vertical. You’ll be working within the Core Products & Experience domain managing the team which is developing and promoting a component library that will be utilised by many other teams within FanDuel Technology.

You’ll be a skilled people manager who has experience of building or working with a centralised design system, ideally for a scaling company.

What you’ll do:

Everyone on our team has a part to play

As part of the Engineering organisation, you will be managing a team of Software Engineers dedicated to the Design System vertical. You’ll take a lead on building a partnership with UX & Design and help develop the next evolution of Formation, FanDuel’s design system. Formation is a highly visible and key greenfield initiative which is pivotal to FanDuel’s future strategy.

  • Manage a team of Software Engineers projects and goals on an organisation and tactical level taking responsibility for their quality of work
  • Architect and write the very first lines of code for our design system and component libraries

You’ll bring experience of building and/or working with an advanced or centralised design system and demonstrate key people management skills. We’d expect you to bring a passion for design systems and demonstrate an ability to collaborate with UX & Design.

  • People management experience and leadership skills in a technology delivery environment
  • Experience of defining and implementing software delivery best practices, agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement
  • The ability to grow a team and lead it to success while demonstrating a pragmatic approach to problem solving

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where team members come together at the hub as required. 

Applicants should be willing to travel to our Edinburgh Tech Hub from time to time.
