The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Senior Director is to develop, direct and manage the technical talent acquisition program. As a Technical Recruiter you are an integral part of our long-term growth and success. You are well-versed in full-cycle technical recruiting from sourcing to hire and enjoy learning the ins and outs of the organization. You are innovative in your sourcing/recruiting approach, experimenting with new and unexpected tactics, coupling that with tried and true traditional best practices. You will be part of an ambitious, driven and quality focused global talent acquisition team based in New York. The ideal candidate will also be a doer - acting as a recruiter on key critical hires, while driving talent acquisition and focusing on branding, candidate experience, interviewer training, hiring metrics, sourcing strategies, career fairs, and more. The role will work closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to develop a collaborative partnership for all recruiting activities and to create an exceptional candidate experience, align innovative recruiting strategies, and measure and deliver results to enable our continued growth. This role will also manage a team of passionate, engaged talent acquisition professionals and provide guidance to the organization to ensure consistent, best-in-class talent acquisition processes and policies.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Create, organize, and implement strategic recruitment plans and supporting initiatives to build the overall talent acquisition process and quality of hiring across all sites and locations
  • Ensure strategies are designed to meet hiring plans in a timely and consistent fashion
  • Provide overall leadership for a team of recruiting professionals and act as a strong role model, providing mentorship and motivation for growth
  • Establish innovative candidate sourcing strategies, especially for hard-to-fill positions
  • Define, track and analyze talent acquisition metrics and develop practical tracking and reporting methods to monitor and improve performance, including cost per hire, hiring cycle time, quality of hire, turnover, competitive hiring measures, and new hire engagement measures
  • Source methods and providers of vendors, products and systems for talent communities; negotiates terms and contracts
  • Key partner in developing human capital requirements for new business or joint ventures; develop human capital planning strategies, identifies sources for talent in new markets
  • Lead recruiting and development of next generation leaders and establish deep bench strength in key management roles
  • Create and lead employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Select and oversee of tools, technology and assets used to support highly effective talent acquisition
  • Regularly update FanDuel Group leadership on current and future state of talent acquisition initiatives

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, organizational development, or related field from four-year College or university is required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition with a focus on engineering and technical roles required
  • Experience setting a vision for a team and moving forward strategic initiatives while addressing the day to day operational needs and challenges
  • The employee must have strong oral and written communication skills to assimilate compelling databased story lines in internal and external branding material
  • Application of intermediate math skills in order to calculate proportions, analyze data, trends and forecast employment needs is required
  • Exemplary relationship building skills and the ability to quickly form partnerships across all levels of the organization
  • Significant experience driving and managing solutions in the following areas: workforce planning, succession planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, career development, competency models and performance management
  • Experience owning P&L for Talent Acquisition function
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on style to deliver practical and effective solutions
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment with exceptional organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize on a consistent basis
