This summer the FES Organizing Team is looking for a dynamic intern to help us ID parents and activate them in our campaign for great schools. We are looking for someone who is passionate about politics and organizing, good at project management, and a strong recruiter. The ideal candidate is a campus activist with leadership/recruitment experience, someone who could see him/herself doing political work as a career. 
  • Internal communication draft;
  • Internal Organizing Updates (Monday morning);
  • Consolidate notes from meetings;
  • Send out action items from MA Organizing huddles;
  • Assist in troubleshooting Salesforce;
  • Entering and pulling Salesforce data;
  • Clean up data;
  • Assist in producing analysis of data;
  • Create deck for chapter meeting/CBO meetings;
  • Assist organizers in ID’ing parents volunteers via tabling/petitioning;
  • Draft language for materials creation;
  • Help out national organizing team’s programmatic tasks as needed;
  • Input and pull organizer data ;
  • Order food & set up childcare for chapter meetings and trainings;
  • Reconcile Amex Reports weekly;
  • Take part in weekly organizing huddles and PD sessions.


Candidates should enjoy working in a dynamic, results-oriented environment in which expectations are high for both the quality and speed of work. Additionally, candidates should possess the following:

  • Be currently enrolled in college;
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills;
  • Embody our core values of collaboration, results, respect and grit.

Interns will be compensated through stipends and receive monthly transportation passes to get to and from work. You will be expected to work six hours a day for four days a week.
