SOME OF WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the company's values, goals, and customer requirements.
  2. Lead efforts to optimize energy usage, reduce waste, and promote the use of sustainable materials throughout the supply chain.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into product design, sourcing, manufacturing processes, and packaging.
  4. Identify and evaluate opportunities for improving environmental performance, such as renewable energy adoption and water conservation measures.
  5. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards sustainability goals and regularly report on performance to stakeholders.
  6. Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in apparel sustainability and adapt strategies accordingly.
  7. Cultivate relationships with suppliers, industry partners, and external stakeholders to promote sustainability and drive continuous improvement.
  8. Lead and inspire a team of sustainability professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  9. Represent the company in sustainability-related forums, conferences, and industry associations to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
  10. Work closely with executive leadership to integrate sustainability into the company's business strategy and decision-making processes.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, supply chain management, or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sustainability leadership roles within the apparel industry or related sectors.
  • Deep understanding of sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (e.g., GOTS, Fair Trade, Bluesign).
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sustainability strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving and a passion for driving positive change.
  • Experience working with retail customers and understanding their sustainability requirements is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP) and experience preparing sustainability reports is a plus.

 

COMPENSATION

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).
