We are looking for a results-driven, high-performing and confident Analyst/Associate to join our Finance team, and you will be expected to work in a fast paced environment to deliver on accounting, reporting & analytical fronts.

In addition to day-to-day accounting & reporting, Associate will assist in formulating sound financial strategies, implementing appropriate internal controls, implementing industry best practices, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Why Do We Need You?

 

FalconX is rapidly growing our teams, globally; we are hiring an experienced, senior, and technical Business Analyst with demonstrated business acumen to partner horizontally to define (with business partners), build deep business analyses with actionable insights, not merely creating dashboards and visualizations.  We’re looking for a seasoned analyst proficient with SQL, Python, and R.  You’ll be a focal point within our growing business operations team working across functions to develop dynamic insights and enable business leaders’ deep visibility within their lines of business/functions to accelerate business decisions and planning.

  • Apply business acumen and analytical skills to not only define and execute solutions, but also take the next step to provide critical insights (not merely data rendition) to materially improve outcomes and influence business decisions
  • Coordinate across Product, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to build dynamic dashboards with insights and alerts
  • Ability and desire to investigate business problems, apply data science techniques, and iterate to create true business-impacting observations.
  • Drive quick results, then partner with business principles to enable game-changing business insights and understanding
  • Engage with internal business customers to learn about their issues/needs, core questions they want to answer, then collaboratively engineer a solution
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to improve all key functions’ productivity and visibility to the business, with a focus on resulting insights to enable leading indicators
  • Work across functions to understand business problems, apply statistical and modeling methodologies within an overall data, data prep, and visualization frameworks.

  • Business-focused with a background in management consulting or investment banking
  • Have a strong analytical mindset with demonstrated experience at a high-growth firm partnering with multiple functions applying data science methodologies
  • You will bring to the table a determination, results orientation, and sense of purpose - a proven track record developing, delivering operational improvements, business solutions 
  • Team-oriented and demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves and get into the weeds
  • Knowledge and proficiency building the data pipeline/data prep - strong SQL, Python, R skills…to develop business insights
  • Sound analytical and investigative skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined - apply forward thinking paired with near-term results
  • Ability to develop API connections, when not prebuilt
  • Understanding of traditional financial and/or cryptocurrency market structure and participants, knowledge of cryptocurrency trading or other asset classes and custody solutions through professional or personal experience
  • Business acumen that pairs with analytical capabilities

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or quantitative-oriented discipline
  • 5+ years business analysis experience at a high growth firm; preferably experience in a fintech, investment banking, or consulting firm
  • Demonstrated experience applying data prep, ETL, modeling experience to developing business insights
  • Demonstrated experience applying SQL, Python scripting, R application to dashboard development and business insights
  • Prior experience developing data pipelines and analyses within a BI stack, with the ability to integrate datasets (i.e. from NetSuite, Salesforce, Sheets, and SQL)
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, functional process understanding, business judgment, written and oral communication skills, communicating at a senior level
  • Advanced data science studies a plus
  • Experience at an early-stage company
