Role description

Our engineering team is growing fast and we want to ensure that we’re creating the absolute best product possible. We’re in need of someone who will help build the foundation to enable our Engineers to build fast, reliable test automation for their features. You will build and maintain testing tools and infrastructure and help shape the long term vision for testing and quality at Faire. Work closely with developers to ensure the testing infrastructure is supporting them in being able to test the features they develop. Track testing and quality metrics and look for ways to drive improvements in test coverage and optimizations to drive down test execution times and financial costs.

As a Senior Software Engineer - Test Infrastructure, you'll collaborate with us to:

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and other testing infrastructure to enable our Engineers to write automated tests for new and existing features
  • Track testing and quality metrics across the organization and identify initiatives to drive improvements
  • Work with developers to guide them on test automation strategies
  • Monitor test stability and identify ways to drive improvements in this metric
  • Create and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate the execution of our automated tests
  • Work within the engineering team to choose the right tools to measure and enforce code quality
  • Take ownership of our code coverage and develop a strategy to increase it over time

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems
  • 5+ Years experience in a testing role/function

Bonus/Nice to haves:

    • Production experience with a large scale website (e-commerce would be ideal)
