Job Summary

As a Bim Technician I, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate updates to our Master Floor Plans. In this role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate creative problem-solving and work with your team to ensure accurate blueprints for the organization. These skills will be used to: 

  • Manage and deliver finished drawing set(s) of single-family master documents accurately and within established time budgets, which include all exteriors, predetermined options, and structural calculations.
  • Manage and make timely revisions to the "masters" and redistribute the electronic data to the production team, as well as notify others of relevant changes.
  • Aid in training the production team when new "masters" are distributed as well as providing and updating base plans as directed.
  • Works with BIM Analysts and BIM Coordinator on making updates to drawings to resolve errors in Purchase Orders. 
  • Assist with root-causing VPOs and coding corrections.
  • Maintains existing constructs per master drawing. Work to quality control jobs prior to purchase order release by testing the construct. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a similar field
  • Solid background of 2-4 applicable years of residential single-family experience
  • Experience with Sapphire Build / Blackpoint

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the telephone and face-to-face contact.
  • Must be able to effectively use and operate various office-related equipment such as but not limited to the computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods with low periods of reaching and standing.
