As a Corporate Trainer, you will coordinate and execute our world-class training programs. You will guide new associates of the organization in developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in their roles. These skills will be used to:
- Improve Associate productivity and engagement through effective coordination and facilitation of training programs, including (but not limited to): first-day orientation, interactive training for newly hired Field Managers and Sales Associates, and Co-Op engagement and development program.
- Assess developmental needs to drive training initiatives and actively search for, design, and implement training solutions for Associates.
- Ensure training is aligned with business needs and strategies. Maintain high-quality standards in instructional design and development for all methods of program delivery.
- Conduct assessments and analyses to identify performance, skill, and knowledge gaps and recommend solutions that improve capability and performance.
- Ensure effectiveness of training programs and outcomes through quantitative and qualitative measures, updating and improving content, delivery, and activities as necessary.
- Support the Learning Management System, including content creation, maintaining the content library, and course assignments.
- Equip leaders throughout the organization with the necessary tools and techniques for effective business learning, and coach them to execute best practices for their Associates.
- Prepare training budget for assigned programs and ensure spending is within authorized limits.
- Create, design, and distribute effective content and communication company-wide. Manage and coordinate event registrations, travel, accommodations, and logistics for virtual and in-person learning events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, psychology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in learning and development.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering successful learning and development projects.
- Proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing a blended learning approach integrating technology and digital media with traditional instructor-led learning activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience in new home sales or construction
- 2+ years of corporate work experience
- Corporate L&D Certification.
- Experience with a Learning Management System
- Proficiency in Articulate 360, iSpring, or other eLearning authoring tools.
Physical demands and work environment:
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and walk on various types of terrain, including uneven surfaces, construction sites, and residential properties that may have mud, ruts, etc.
- Must be able to utilize sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) and technology (i.e. cellphone) to effectively communicate with other Associates and customers.
- Must be able to perform movements such as bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, etc.
- Must have the ability to climb permanent stairs, temporary stairs, and ladders.
- Must have the physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting approximately 50 lbs. unassisted throughout the workday.
- Must be able to endure and be exposed to different types of conditions, including weather (heat, cold, rain, ice, etc.) and substances such as dust, dirt, and fumes.
- Must be able to properly use and wear protective gear provided including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed shoes, etc.
- Must be able to travel to all Fischer Homes markets.
