Job Summary

As a Residential Estimating Cost Analyst, you will be an essential part of Fischer Homes’ construction process as you estimate each of our homes. In this role, you will coordinate documents required for permit and construction ensuring that superintendents have materials, labor, and accurate plans to complete homes. These skills will be used to: 

  • Ensure Purchase Orders are issued on time so that subcontractors and suppliers can complete their work in the standard time frame as delineated in the scope of work. 
  • Produce plans and construct details accurately, timely, and within Fischer Homes standards. 
  • Provide details of recurring issues and problems to appropriate departments to proactively solve future problems. 
  • Deliver complete and accurate drawing set(s), and coordinate documents required for the building permit process to the Permit Department.
  • Compare live estimates with a comparable job, reviewing all quantities and resources. Provides Job Comparable Reports showing variances.
  • Demonstrate creativity by finding new and/or better solutions, within Fischer Homes guidelines, to new or recurring problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Data Analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Manager, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
