eyeo has colleagues based all over the world. We love our diversity and take great pride in our company culture. We practice an independent, remote workstyle with work distributed in cross-functional matrix teams that span predominantly EST and CET time zones. If working remotely isn’t for you, we also have a large office in Berlin and soon in NYC that you can choose to work from. We meet twice a year as a team and once a year, we host an all-company retreat, our Summer Week. What you'll do
We are a dynamic media company at the forefront of digital advertising, providing innovative solutions for publishers (sell-side) and agencies/advertisers (buy-side) to optimize revenue and demand while meeting the needs of users. We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our talented teams in technical excellence and strategic product development.
As the VP of Engineering - Media, you will be responsible for leading and managing our engineering organization, driving the development of products tailored to both the sell-side and buy-side markets. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a key role in shaping our engineering strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives in close collaboration with product managers
- Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development and implementation of our core bidding platform and other products targeting the sell-side and buy-side markets. Drive innovation and stay abreast of industry trends to maintain our competitive edge
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales and Operations to develop and implement a future-proof technical strategy that aligns with business objectives. Foster strong relationships and effective communication across departments
- Team development: Ensure effective team set-up, including resource allocation, skills development and performance management. Mentor and guide team members, encouraging their professional growth and development
- Engineering Management Team: Serve as a key member of the Engineering Management Team, contributing to strategic decision making and representing the engineering perspective in organizational initiatives
What you bring to the table
- Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in organizations with at least 150-200 engineers
- Strong understanding of digital advertising technologies and platforms, particularly in the areas of programmatic advertising and ad tech
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing complex software solutions, ideally in the digital media or advertising industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and delivering results.
- Experience of working collaboratively across departments and building strong cross-functional relationships
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities
