This position is responsible for assisting buying department with inventory, online cataloging, reporting, and sales for hundreds of retail locations. The Merchandising Coordinator will work directly with existing vendors to ensure products are properly displayed with current imagery and descriptions.
The Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with sales, operations, customer service and finance departments to improve operational efficiencies, reporting, and support. Critical to the position is a high level of organization and process management capability.
Create and maintain reporting as needed to analyze sales and provide actionable comments to buyer
Assist in the enforcement of agreements and service levels including pricing.
Sample management - tracking, unpacking and organization on as needed basis
Maintain library of all product photos, presentation boards and product information needs
Ensure all items have correct taxonomy and product description
Run reports for buyers as needed
Ensure all items have photos
Update website with content, edits and new product information
Ensure all copy is free from error (such as basic typos, etc.)
Work with vendor partners to get images on a regular basis
Assist with new acquisition onboarding
Undergraduate Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing or a related field preferred
1-2 years' of experience in the buying and/or retail industry
Attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook (experience working with Microsoft Access program is a plus)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate issues, answer inquiries and resolve teammate questions
Some travel may be required
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
