EyeCare Partners is seeking an organized, motivated, and methodical Business Development Director to join our growing Mergers and Acquisitions team. We are seeking self-motivated, professional individuals to join our firm. Individuals should be enthusiastic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with business owners and executives regarding partial and complete business acquisitions and buyouts. Identify targets which are strategically well-positioned to accelerate growth
Team with executive leadership to build relationships with potential company targets
Deliver on EyeCare Partners goals and strategy
Develop and screen potential transactions from strategic market and technical research.
Provide thought leadership regarding "strategic fit" and consult on negotiation strategy and tactics with all proposed acquisition targets based on deep knowledge of targets and relationships built.
Manage the presentation of the deal and communication
Evaluate and communicate opportunities upstream through well-constructed reporting documents and white papers.
Maintain and grow deal pipeline for the meaningful business segment(s) and attractive adjacent markets.
Identify markets with actionable entry points for the business segment and drive dialogue in a deliberate and consistent manner internally for new attractive adjacent market opportunities.
Lead cultivation of acquisition targets within served and adjacent markets.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
10+ years of professional experience
Professional track record of outstanding performance in key executive positions.
Experience in sales, customer facing environments, and finance
Elite verbal/written communication skills
Sufficient business/finance knowledge to immediately establish credibility with contacts and the social skills to build rapport with targets
The willingness to cold call corporate development/M&A executives and business owners/managers
Self-starting capabilities. High hustle and thick skin
Demonstrated proactive management capabilities
Capability to work as a member of the broader team and work in the interest of the firm as a whole
A burning desire to succeed coupled with high ethical standards
Ability to travel as needed
